Create Folder

launch.id;   // pass to uploads as folderId
launch.path; // "2026/q1/launch"

Uploads create folders on demand, so this is only necessary when the access control has to be set before anything lands in the folder.

Parameters

Parameter	Type	Description
`name`	`string`	A single folder name. Mutually exclusive with `path`
`path`	`string`	Slug path to create. Creates every missing segment and returns the leaf
`parentId`	`string`	UUID of the parent to create `name` under
`parentPath`	`string`	Path of an existing parent. Mutually exclusive with `parentId`
`accessControlType`	`"public" \| "private" \| "signed"`	Defaults to `public`
`defaultExpirySeconds`	`number`	Default link lifetime for a signed folder
`signal`	`AbortSignal`	Cancels the request

Pass either name or path, not both. path can’t be combined with parentId or parentPath, which would make the destination ambiguous.

Every asset in the folder inherits this, as does every subfolder created beneath it.

Type	Who can fetch it
`public`	Anyone with the URL. The default
`private`	Nobody through the public API — dashboard members only
`signed`	Anyone holding an unexpired signed URL
